1. Foundation Settlement & Underpinning:
For foundation settlement problems we use the Chance Screw Pile Underpinning System. Chance manufactured anchors are rated up to 100,000. pounds each. These are manufactured in high-strength galvanized steel. Special patented brackets are used to stabilize an/or lift foundations in distress. Chance is the only company with a pre-engineered and manufactured underpinning system evaluated and listed by all of the national building code agencies. Read more in the Underpinning Section.
2. Foundation Crack Repair and Foundation Waterproofing:
Our foundation repairs have a 100% success rate. Leaking cracks and other areas are all repaired from the exterior with proven products that are meant for use in our Canadian climate. We do not support some of the "cheaper" methods used by others. We want your hard-earned money to be well spent.
3. Weeping Tile Installation or Replacement:
Whether it's a new installation or replacement of old and/or damaged weeping tile, Abarent Construction Ltd. has the experienced man-power to handle projects of any size. Depending on the type of soil, different types of weeping tile may be recommended (i.e. Geo-textile filter sock). Optional interior weeping tile is sometimes an alternative.
4. Sump Pump Installation:
Our sump pumps are fully enclosed and properly located for optimum performance. All components are of commercial grade and fully warranted.
5. Foundation Inspections:
We perform consultations and estimates free of charge for home owners that are considering having work done. We also do foundation inspections for prospective real estate purchasers for a nominal fee. Contact Kevin for more information.
6. Basement Seepage Problems Corrected:
Often times, basement seepage problems are simple in nature and require only minor modifications to your existing system. We have found ourselves providing information to homeowners that enable them to perform work on their own. At Abarent Construction Ltd., we enjoy providing honest information.
7. Basement Floor Lowering:
Often, older basements do not have the height required to make a functional basement development possible. With the installation of an engineered wall system, we have the ability to lower the basement floor up to 36". At the same time, we address moisture and structural concerns.
8. Foundation Replacement:
In extreme cases, we have replaced foundation walls. Each project is different; with our experience in the area, we have a large base of referral homes to show clients contemplating this type of project, from old to new. Tight access is no problem for our experienced crews.
9. PWF Wall Systems and Structural Support:
Whether it is a new PWF basement or interior support wall, Abarent Construction Ltd. has experience and engineering ability to affect a solid construction.
10. Window Well Installations:
Often, grading changes require that a window well be installed, or perhaps an existing window well needs a drainage system installed. From standard galvanized to custom design, count on our professionals to provide you with an effective solution.
11. Basement Windows and Doors Installed:
Often, renovations require a new window or basement entrance to be installed. We have the equipment and staff to handle any situation.
12. New Retaining Walls and Retaining Wall Repair:
From a properly designed new retaining wall, to adjustment and repair of existing retaining walls, our staff has managed many with great success.
13. Micro-Camera Investigations:
This leading-edge technology allows us to conduct a visual examination of weeping tile in difficult to reach areas, without extensive excavation. It helps reduce costs and pin-point problem areas.
14. Additions Leveled:
Sometimes due to substandard construction or soil changes, an attachment to a house may sink and/or move differently than the main house. This causes damage to occur. We have the experience to correct this problem.
15. Professional Engineers Services and Compliance Available:

Abarent has a registered Professional Engineer on staff to enable the proper inspections and compliance certificates to be issued.
